Hawzah News Agency- The Center for African Studies, affiliated with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, has started organizing its dialogue seminars initiated by (the forum of the Iraqi academic elite for African specialized studies: a platform for dialogue and future visions for the African continent).

The director of the center, Sheikh Saad al-Shammari, stated to Al-Kafeel Network that "the dialogue seminar included in this project, was held in the Hall of Sheikh al-Ansari within the Imam al-Murtadha (peace be upon him) complex of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in the province of Najaf, in the presence of academics and specialists in African affairs from many universities, and a group of students of religious sciences from the continent of Africa".

He added, "I was honoured to manage the dialogue session along with the chairman and managing editor of the journal (African Studies) Prof. Dr. Sabah Mahdi rumaidh and Prof. Dr. Sarhan Ghulam, and after putting forward a number of topics related to the seminar, we came out with a number of recommendations, the most important of which was:

- Developing research marketing methods for the center's outputs.
- Full openness to Iraqi universities and provide the necessary support to researchers, urging them to write scientific research in all fields specialized in African Affairs.
- Promoting the journal (African studies).
- Printing letters and papers for Iraqi researchers specialized in African Affairs and marketing them globally, so that the center takes its appropriate position among the international research centers specialized in African Affairs.
- Continue to hold seminars on time, to review the achievements and provide new visions and proposals".

It is worth mentioning that the aim of holding these seminars is to strengthen the ties between specialists in Africa with the center and introduce them to it, and that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine will remain interested and supportive of such scientific activities leading to outputs that contribute to the advancement of the specialized research level of this continent.
